CEBU, Philippines - I’m totally convinced that it is not just fine “motor skills” that maketh a makeup artist but also extreme talent, passion and a newly opened salon. ”It has always been my dream to own one,” says Jessie. After his five-year old studio, located in the same building, Jessie Glova finally introduced to the public Jessie Glova Style Salon. Opened last June 8, Jessie Glova Style Salon also accepts students for make-up lessons who might have the chance to work with Jessie Glova’s makeup and style team.

“We will be offering almost all salon services apart from a full body spa,” explains Jessie. “From manicures to pedicures, nail art, foot massages and spa, eyelash extensions, threading, hair extension, hair color, hair rebonding, cut, treatments, and facials.” Jessie Glova Style Salon will also be offering cosmetic tattoo, eyebrow embroidery and facial treatments soon. From a haircut to the main attraction spa treatment, the salon’s price range is just right for the high-end quality service that you will be getting in return.

The sheer elegant interior of the salon speaks volumes in class and chic, the kind of clients that mostly frequents Jessie Glova’s studio. In the near future, Jessie will re-launching his cosmetic line which is currently under a repackaging process and BFAD approval. Jessie, who swears he can’t live without his airbrush and brow kit, says that the makeup and beauty industry here in Cebu is fast becoming competitive. ”But because of the growing market, there is always a client for everyone,” he says.

While he is not occupied with the salon and studio, Jessie also keeps himself busy with the Corona Sugbuanon Organization, a nonprofit organization that helps aspiring beauty queens. Jessie isn’t one to cut corners too because he has already been invited at fashion shows abroad and movie premieres, worked with A-list magazines for shoots and also offered his services to the local media such as ABS-CBS and TV5’s Wiltime Bigtime.
